Bubble/Solar Cover

Solar pool and spa blankets are usually made of light-weight bubble-type plastic, which floats on the water surface. The bubbles make an effective insulating layer above the warm water, retaining heat. In mild weather, these covers may be used to extend the swimming season or to trap heat when temperatures fall at night.

Blankets for pools can be fitted with rollers for easy removal. When solar blankets are removed, a small amount of dirt may be added to the pool. For this reason, customers should remove the blanket before a routine service call, so that the filtration system can remove much of the dirt before back washing.

Note: Water quality must be carefully maintained. Poor water balance will quickly deteriorate solar blankets.
